I first heard about James through Facebook and was interested that he was advertising for people over 40 to train at his gym. As an older runner I wanted to add some strength training but didn't really know where to begin as I hadn't really been to a gym before for strength training. James put me at ease straight away and helped me understand the benefits of training at the gym, where I have now been going for over 2 years. James is very knowledgeable and has a nice easy manner to work with. I enjoy the small classes and would recommend anyone who is looking for a PT and a comfortable environment to train in, to either loose weight, keep fit or add some strength training to contact James.
First, I’m Lindy, not Graham, phone is having an identity crisis! I found James online when I was looking for a trainer to help kickstart my mid-life health and fitness journey. I completed a twelve week habit changing course at Imagine Fitness gym that included thirty minute PT sessions, not hours long routines. The gym environment is welcoming and although I did my sessions privately I occasionally met other clients who were a great group of like minded people. The best thing for me about the program was I found my ‘why’ for getting and staying healthy. I also enjoyed the accountability, I checked in every week with James who was supportive and encouraging as I cemented the new habits he suggested. Over the 12 weeks I lost an amazing 13.7kg. The day of my last session I flew to the US for six weeks, I had a blast and with my new habits in place I actually came home a kilo lighter, no dieting involved. If like me you need a mid life reset I would thoroughly recommend taking the first step and talking to James.
I've been training twice a week with James at Imagine Fitness for a couple of years including virtual sessions over Zoom during lockdowns. With his help, I've managed to get back into shape and keep it that way. James kicked my butt back into a well needed routine, he's got practical easy-to-use methods to create lasting healthy habits with some decent banter along the way. Its not a big scary gym just a few people wanting to improve their fitness, go see him, you'll thank yourself!
A Google search brought up nearby Imagine Fitness, and I've been training with James now for the past 12 weeks. Not only have I lost over 3kg in weight and 3 inches from my belt, but my general mobility has improved, with fewer clicks and clunks from joints, plus easier walking up steps and hills. The best things about the small group sessions have been how James has tailored the exercises to our specific needs, and how every session has been different. I would certainly recommend James and have already pointed friends to his Studio.
